Mewmentum

Clearforge Software LLC ("Clearforge," "we," "us," or "our") built Mewmentum as a commercial focus-timer app. This Privacy Policy explains how Mewmentum handles information when you use the app.

Information Mewmentum stores

Mewmentum is designed to work without an account and without a Clearforge-operated server. The information you create or choose in the app is stored on your device to provide the app’s features. This may include:

• Task, project, note, focus-session, timer-preset, schedule, and story-progress information.
• App preferences, such as focus duration, notifications, and haptic settings.
• The minimum information needed to show your focus progress in the Mewmentum widget and Live Activity on your device.

Optional iCloud sync

iCloud sync is on by default and can be turned off in Settings; a change takes effect the next time you open Mewmentum. When it is on, your tasks, projects, notes, focus sessions, timer presets, schedules, story progress, and preferences also sync through the private iCloud database associated with your Apple Account. This helps keep your progress available on your own devices and recoverable when you replace a device.

Your private CloudKit data is accessible to you on devices signed in to the same Apple Account. It is not available to other Mewmentum users or to Clearforge. It counts against your iCloud storage quota and is governed by Apple’s privacy practices.

We do not receive, access, or store this information on Clearforge servers.

Optional app blocking

If you choose to enable App Blocking, Mewmentum uses Apple’s Family Controls and Managed Settings frameworks to apply the selections you make during a focus session. Apple provides privacy-preserving selection tokens for the apps, categories, or websites you choose.

Mewmentum stores those tokens locally on your device only to apply your blocking choices. Mewmentum does not collect or receive the names of the selected apps, categories, or websites, and it does not access your device-usage history or activity data.

App Blocking is optional and off by default. You can change or remove your selections in Mewmentum’s Settings.

Purchases

Mewmentum offers optional Story Pass purchases through Apple’s App Store. Purchases, subscriptions, billing, and payment information are processed by Apple under Apple’s terms and privacy practices. Mewmentum uses StoreKit locally to determine whether a Story Pass entitlement is active.

Clearforge does not receive or store your payment-card number or other payment credentials.

Information we do not collect

Mewmentum does not:

• Require an account, sign-in, name, email address, or user ID to use the app.
• Operate a backend that receives your focus data, tasks, notes, settings, or app-blocking selections.
• Use third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs.
• Track you across apps or websites, use advertising identifiers, or build advertising profiles.
• Collect location, health, contacts, camera, photos, microphone, or device-usage data.

How information is used

The information described above is used only to provide Mewmentum’s features, including focus timers, tasks, progress history, widgets, Live Activities, optional app blocking, Story Pass access, and private sync across your devices when enabled.

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information for advertising or marketing purposes.

Data retention and deletion

You can use the in-app Delete My Data control in Settings to remove Mewmentum’s tasks, focus history, projects, preferences, and related app data. When iCloud sync is on, deletion also removes that data from your private iCloud database and your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. When iCloud sync is off, deletion removes the local data from that device.

Because Clearforge does not receive or keep a copy of your Mewmentum data, we cannot recover it for you after deletion.

Third-party services

Mewmentum relies on Apple platform services to operate optional system features:

• Apple App Store and StoreKit for purchases and subscription management.
• Apple Family Controls and Managed Settings for optional, user-directed app blocking.
• Apple CloudKit and iCloud for optional private syncing across your devices.
• Apple UserNotifications, WidgetKit, and ActivityKit for optional notifications, widgets, and Live Activities on your device.

Security

Mewmentum uses Apple platform storage and security protections for information stored on your device and, when enabled, in your private iCloud database. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, but Clearforge cannot access your Mewmentum focus data.

Your privacy choices and rights

You control your Mewmentum data. You may delete it through Settings. Removing the app removes local data but does not necessarily remove data already synced to iCloud; use Delete My Data if you want the deletion to propagate while iCloud sync is enabled.

If you contact Clearforge by email or through the Clearforge website, we handle the information you submit under the Clearforge Privacy Overview. You may request access, correction, or deletion of information you submitted to Clearforge by contacting us at support@clearforgesoftware.com.

European Economic Area and United Kingdom

For Mewmentum, Clearforge Software LLC is the data controller for any personal information you voluntarily send to us through support. You may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of that information, and to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. Mewmentum focus data stored locally or in your private iCloud database is not available to Clearforge.

California residents

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. To submit a request about information you voluntarily provided to Clearforge, contact us at support@clearforgesoftware.com.

Children’s privacy

Mewmentum is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Clearforge through a support request or website form, contact us and we will address the request promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Mewmentum’s features or data practices change. We will post the updated policy at clearforgesoftware.com/mewmentum/privacy and revise the Last updated date above.
